Harold Riley Watercolour and Signed Limited Editions Prints (1934 - )
Harold Riley was born in Salford in 1934. He studied at the Slade School of Art. He also studied in Spain and Florence . He still lives in Salford and has painted his local scenery throughout his life. L.S. Lowry was a very good friend of his and they were often seen walking around Manchester together.
Harold Riley has an excellent reputation as portraitist and has painted Royalty, American Presidents and Popes. His sporting works are now becoming very sought after, in particular golfing and football scenes.
Granada Television recently made a two part documentary about this life titled “The Life of Riley”.
