Lesley Gilbert R.I. (1912-2007)

Known throughout the UK for his paintings of flowers and trees in watercolour. He attended The Hanley School of Art and was a member of the Staffordshire Artists Society of which he became President. He was elected to the R.I. in 1958 where he exhibited for over 40 years. The Queen Mother purchased one of his works at an exhibition of the R.I. held at the Mall Galleries
